Jan - March 2012 Nevada County Planning Department Timeline:
 1. Site Visit - Tour of trail easements with representatives with each HOA.
  2. Research - Conduct research regarding issues with and potential options for addressing the trail easements.
 3. Mapping of Trail Easements - Conduct a parcel by parcel inventory of the trail easements to document site conditions and identify problem areas for further analysis.

Jan 10, 2012 - Board of Supervisors to receive an Emigrant Trail easement Plan and Milestones from Planning Department.
Nov. 8, 2011 -
Board of Supervisors public hearing to discuss passing resolution to extend the closure of the Emgirant Trail public easement.
Nov. 7, 2011 - Emigrant Trail Conservancy meeting.
Dec. 7, 2010 - Board of Supervisors public hearing to discuss approval of Resolution. Resolution will contain language to suspend public access to the Emigrant Trail public easement and right of way through the Sunshine Valley, Golden Oaks and Lodestar Unit II subdivisions for no longer than one year, at which time Staff will report the historic merit, viability, location and alternatives to the Board of Supervisors. Nov. 19, 2010 - Emigrant Trail Conservancy Meeting, Priorities Leads, discussion of Resolution wording to be approved by the Board of Supervisors, update on usage research.
October 14, 2010 - Emigrant Trail Conservancy Meeting - Presentations and discussion of the Board of Supervisors Resolution to suspend public access of the trail for one year in order to provide a plan foropening or closing the public easements. Speakers: Jory Stewart, Director, and Larkyn Feiler, Sr. Project Planner, Nevada County Planning Department.
